Events and Programs

Casa Werma is an amazing place to hold a program or event. Casa Werma is ideal for celebratory events. We have hosted weddings and are happy to help coordinate for your wedding or reception at Casa Werma. The gardens are a magical place for such an event. The large patio is great for dancing, music, and festivities. The entire estate, grounds and houses, are available for these occasions.

We have hosted Student Abroad trips and could plan a trip for your school. During these trips, we hold Spanish classes, art classes, and cooking classes at Casa Werma. We visit local villages, and meet artisans. Service work plays an important role in these trips. Students have worked with the Hogar Providencia Don Vasco, a home for girls whose families cannot care for them (www.hogarprovidencia.org.mx). Students also enjoy the natural wonders of the area, such as Volcano Paricutin, the waterfalls at the National Park in Uruapan and the Monarch Butterfly Reserve.

We also host meditation programs and "contemplative arts" programs. Our programs led by teachers within the Shambhala Buddhist tradition. We host both introductory programs and advanced programs.
